What we do


At Next2U, we develop technologies designed to sense, interpret, and operationalize human-state information in safety-critical and mission-critical environments. Our work combines advanced sensing modalities, signal intelligence, and applied AI to support human-aware systems that can interact more safely, adapt more effectively, and operate with greater awareness of the people involved.

Our technology stack is built around the integration of multispectral imaging, biosignal analysis, and intelligent data processing. Through thermal, infrared, and other multispectral sensing approaches, we capture non-contact indicators from the face and body, enabling the observation of relevant patterns that may not be visible in the standard visual domain. These sensing capabilities are complemented by biosignal-based approaches, which provide access to physiological dynamics through the acquisition and analysis of signals such as cardiac, respiratory, and other biological data streams.

To turn these heterogeneous sources into useful system-level information, we combine signal processing, machine learning, and data fusion methods with a strong research-driven approach. This allows us to develop solutions that are not only scientifically grounded, but also designed for robustness, interpretability, and operational deployment.

The result is a portfolio of enabling technologies that support the development of adaptive, human-aware systems across demanding application domains, including aerospace, aviation, automotive, health, and advanced human-machine interaction.

Multispectral Imaging

By integrating multiple spectral domains, we enable the observation of both visible and non-visible patterns that are relevant to human-state assessment in operational environments.

Thermal imaging allows us to detect heat-related patterns and temperature distributions that can support the analysis of physiological activation and other relevant human-state indicators in a fully contactless way.


RGB imaging provides visual information on appearance, motion, and behavioral dynamics, supporting the extraction of visible cues linked to interaction, activity, and response.


Near Infrared imaging extends sensing capabilities beyond the visible spectrum, enabling robust monitoring in challenging conditions and adding complementary information where standard vision alone may be insufficient.

Biosignals

Biosignals provide direct access to physiological dynamics over time and complement imaging with measurements that are not visible from external observation alone. They can capture changes in neural activity, cardiovascular function, respiration, autonomic regulation, and other processes relevant to human-state assessment.

Neurophysiological signals reflect central nervous system activity and can support the analysis of cognitive, functional, and brain-related dynamics.


Peripheral physiological signals reflect bodily responses such as cardiac, respiratory, electrodermal, and other autonomic or metabolic processes, providing measurable indicators of physiological variation.

Together, these signals add temporal and physiological depth to human-state sensing, enabling more robust interpretation in adaptive and safety-oriented systems.

AI Algorithms

AI Algorithms provide the processing layer that transforms heterogeneous sensing data into structured, usable information. In multimodal human-state systems, they support signal interpretation, data fusion, feature extraction, pattern recognition, and the generation of outputs that can be used for monitoring, adaptation, or decision support.

A Distributed and secure architecture enables sensing, processing, and communication to be organized across multiple components or nodes, supporting modularity, scalability, secure data handling, and operational robustness.


AI and machine learning algorithms support the detection of patterns, the fusion of multimodal inputs, and the extraction of relevant information from complex physiological and imaging data.

Together, these methods bridge the gap between sensing and system-level intelligence, turning raw signals into operationally meaningful outputs.
